In 1996 her son Mr. Chirag Thakkar & daughter Mrs. Ami Adhiya joined her endeavour to entertain the celebrative ‘Surtis’ as an anchor & singer and brought a revolution in the style of Lagna Geet. The conventional ‘Mandal’ on which such shows were conducted, morphed into a more creative presentation comprising of timely performances of traditional & new Gujarati Songs as well as Hindi Wedding Songs. The diverse communities of Surat started adorning Chirag Thakkar’s familiar style of compeering of Lagna Geet with a sweet essence of intimacy so much so that his style is now adopted by many musical groups in & around Surat. Today Ami Orchestra is synonymous for “Making Memories Memorable” with the involvement of Chiragbhai in the client’s occasion as a family member.
